It takes a lot to run a profitable blog. This is a list of everything that we use in our business. If you’re thinking to start a blog, then you’ll find this list of resources very helpful.
Ad Network
One of the best ways to earn money from your blog is by being in an ad network. Both this site and our lifestyle blog are in the Ezoic ad network. By joining Ezoic, we’ve more than quadrupled our ad earnings.
Domain Name & Web Hosting
To have a website, you’ll need a domain and hosting. You can get both of these through Bluehost. Bluehost is perfect for a beginner because they’re affordable, dependable, easy to use, and they provide excellent customer support.
WordPress Theme
If you like what you see on this site, then you’ll love the Foodie Pro theme. It runs on the Genesis framework. It’s the best theme I’ve ever used. See our other theme recommendations here.
Keysearch
If you’re serious about your blog and SEO, then you’ll want to pick up Keysearch. It has turbocharged our SEO results and it can absolutely do the same for you! Read our Keysearch review here.
MailerLite
Every blogger should be building an email list of subscribers. MailerLite is very inexpensive and easy to use. It’s what we use to create opt-in boxes, exit intent pop-ups, and send email newsletters.
Canva Pro
As a entrepreneur you’re going to need to make lots of images. We use Canva Pro to edit images, make YouTube thumbnails, Pinterest images, and more.
Camtasia
Whenever we make a video for our YouTube channel, We use Camtasia. It’s a screen recorder and video editing software.
Presets
Before we upload a picture anywhere we first put presets on them. The ones we recommend only work for Adobe Lightroom, which is a free app. Prior to using presets, our pictures were dark and yellow. Now, they’re light and bright!
Camera
Before getting this DSLR, we were taking all of our pictures with an iPhone. This camera takes better pictures and comes with more settings to work with. Step up your picture game with a DSLR camera!
Phone Tripod
When we make YouTube videos, we film using an iPhone on top of a tripod. We love this tripod because it’s adjustable and comes with a Bluetooth remote that we can use to start and stop videos without touching the phone.
Lighting Kit
Whether you’re taking videos or pictures in your place, you’ll most likely run into the problem of bad lighting. With a lighting kit, you won’t have to wait for sunny days to do that.
